Bio
Rachael Jewell is an Ottawa-based multi-genre soprano, singer/songwriter, sound bath practitioner, and vocal teacher, known for her clear, expressive tone, commanding stage presence, and exceptional vocal versatility. She bridges classical precision with contemporary power.

She received both her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Ottawa, with a focus in Opera. Following her graduate degree, Rachael studied with D.M.A. Michael Warren, one of New York City’s top vocal teachers, whose students perform on Broadway, in major world-renowned opera houses, and as university professors across the U.S. and Canada.

Regarded as a highly engaging and theatrical performer, Rachael has performed leading operatic roles including Adele (Die Fledermaus), Despina (Così fan tutte), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), the First Lady (Die Zauberflöte), Mrs. Gobineau (The Medium), Musetta (La Bohème), and Clotilde (Norma). Most recently, she performed the role of Juliette in Pellegrini Opera’s production of Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette. She also premiered the role of Ellen in Kevin Reeves’ comic opera Nosferatu, where she stood out for her “acting skills, comedic timing and clear, characterful singing.” – Artsfile.

She has appeared as a guest soloist with the National Arts Centre Orchestra at the National Arts Centre’s The Hockey Sweater event co-hosted by Ken Dryden and Maestro Alain Trudel, and as a guest soloist with the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra.

Rachael is currently a national anthem singer for the Ottawa Senators 2025–2026 season and the lead vocalist for Queen of Heart, an Ottawa-based tribute band celebrating the legendary rock bands Queen and Heart.

As a songwriter, Rachael crafts powerful, melody-driven songs that fuse classical vocal intensity with modern pop and rock sensibilities. Her music is emotionally charged and vocally dynamic, built on rich harmonic textures, soaring melodic lines, and dramatic builds. Drawing from personal experience, her lyrics explore themes of love, ambition, inner conflict, and transformation, delivered through a voice that balances vulnerability with strength. The result is a sound that feels cinematic, bold, and distinctly her own.

She recently released her first original contemporary single, “Dream,” produced by Juno nominated producer Albert Chambers of Studio Base Bin in Montreal, Quebec, available on all streaming platforms.
In addition to her performance career, Rachael offers one-on-one, couples, and group sound healing sessions at her home in Barrhaven. Her sessions have been described as deeply relaxing and immersive, guiding listeners through a restorative auditory experience. Corporate and group packages are available upon request.
